In a journey of 563 poems set to music by 170 authors, from Carl Perkins' “Blue Suede Shoes” (1955) to Laurie Anderson's “O Superman” (1980), this is the lyrical chronicle of the lives of several generations of teenagers at a very historical moment when they were conquering their self-determination, in a wandering, multi-mode, electric march, or as Caetano Veloso summed it up in 1966 (Alegria, alegria) “without a scarf, without a document, I'm going”.
