Sherpa The Tiger – Promigña (EP)

Sherpa The Tiger return with Promigña, a five-track EP released on Fuzz Club that follows their 2022 album Ithkuil and 2018 debut Great Vowel Shift.

Designed as a single, continuous suite, the EP reflects a conceptual unity rooted in the band’s interpretation of 1970s electronic ambient krautrock. Influences include The Cosmic Jokers, Cluster and Cybotron, with the group blending deep kosmische textures, exploratory ambience and evolving rhythmic patterns.

Originally conceived as a 20-minute monolithic piece, Promigña flows seamlessly between movements, each centred around a specific instrument—Synth, Flute, Drums, Mixer and Guitar. It also marks Sherpa The Tiger’s first use of non-input mixer synthesis and their debut studio recording with a new drummer. Both homage and evolution, the EP expands the band’s experimental scope while paying tribute to krautrock’s electronic pioneers.
