Moreno Ácido + Diogo - Junkeira (12")

Seven years after Av. General Roçadas, the duo returns with the same commitment to dance music, while each producer has continued to develop a distinct artistic path.

Moreno Ácido has explored a conceptual and independent underground approach through self-released projects, later gaining renewed attention with Trash/Treasure, while Diogo has strengthened his work through Discos Extendes, supporting both his own output and a wider community of artists. Junkeira openly embraces the influence of UK rave culture, particularly in tracks such as “WTF”, which draws on classic hardcore rave elements including piano stabs, breakbeats and uplifting strings. The closing track, “Freak”, offers a more reflective and atmospheric mood while maintaining its connection to the dancefloor. The EP begins with “100 Planos”, a DJ-oriented track that recalls the sound of Roçadas through its driving 4/4 rhythm and functional structure, while “Turbo Love” foregrounds UK Garage influences and melodic keys. Together, the tracks present dance music as a living continuum that links disco, garage, rave and contemporary club sounds, making Junkeira both a tribute to these traditions and a fresh contribution to their ongoing evolution.
