Këkht Aräkh – Night & Love

"Night & Love" is the debut album by Këkht Aräkh, a Ukrainian project that challenges the boundaries of traditional black metal by incorporating atmospheric, melancholic, and even romantic elements.

Released in 2021, the album offers a raw yet emotional approach, with lo-fi production that enhances a sense of intimacy and vulnerability. Throughout the tracks, there is a contrast between aggressive moments, with distorted guitars and screamed vocals, and softer, almost ethereal passages that draw from darkwave and shoegaze. The duality of night and love, as the title suggests, runs through each composition, creating a sonic narrative that is both dark and deeply sensitive.
