Rodriguez – Cold Fact

A remarkable debut that blends folk, psychedelic rock and soul into a distinctive sound shaped by acoustic guitars, understated arrangements and sharp, socially conscious songwriting.

Rodriguez delivers a collection of songs that explore urban hardship, disillusionment, inequality and the darker side of the American dream, balancing poetic observations with a quietly rebellious spirit. Tracks such as “Sugar Man”, “I Wonder” and “Crucify Your Mind” showcase his haunting melodies, distinctive vocal delivery and talent for combining introspective lyrics with infectious rhythms. Initially overlooked in the United States, the album went on to achieve cult status, particularly in South Africa, where it became a soundtrack for a generation. A timeless and thought-provoking record for fans of folk-rock, psychedelic sounds and lyrical storytelling.
