Fogo Fogo – Fladu Fla

Fogo Fogo celebrate the richness of Cape Verdean music through an infectious fusion of funaná, funk, dub and psychedelia, creating a vibrant sound that invites listeners to dance and explore.

Released in 2021, this first full-length album of original material reflects the collective’s connection to Cape Verdean musical traditions, blending traditional rhythms with a modern and experimental approach. Tracks such as “Hora Di Bai”, “Ronca Baxon”, “Dia Não” and “Snacki pa Guloso” showcase the band’s rhythmic energy and sonic diversity, while “Fladu Fla” captures the spirit of the project. Produced by Alexandre Kassin and mixed by Victor Rice, the album brings together tradition, creative freedom and a strong Lusophone identity, establishing Fogo Fogo as one of the most distinctive acts in contemporary Portuguese music.
