Darkstar – North

An immersive blend of experimental electronic music, synth-pop and dubstep, shaped by melancholic synthesisers, subtle beats and processed vocals that create a cold, intimate and cinematic atmosphere.

On this album, British duo Darkstar move away from conventional dance music structures to explore delicate melodies, electronic textures and introspective emotions. “Aidy’s Girl Is a Computer” stands out for its fragmented rhythms and futuristic approach, while “Gold” combines nostalgic synthesisers with an understated melancholy. “Two Chords” and “Dear Heartbeat” reveal the duo’s more contemplative side, while “When It’s Gone” closes the album on a delicate and deeply moving note. A distinctive release for fans of alternative electronic music and experimental pop, where the coldness of machines meets a surprising sense of human vulnerability.
