Xosé Tarrío - Contra las cárceles. Contra el estado (ES)

    5.00€

The idea of prison arose in history as a means of isolating and incarcerating those whom the authorities considered troublesome or subversive to the existing laws, abnormal to established social norms. Throughout history, prisons and their dungeons have been used in different ways; but always, absolutely always, whether in the medieval, modern, or contemporary eras, they have constituted a tool of imposed power, the coercive means of kings, military leaders, and politicians.

The state is a power structure that bases its existence on crime and theft, and that, with its authoritarian and unjust formulas of social organization, debases the coexistence of society, corrupting it and pitting it against itself. We cannot want or intend to eliminate crime or prison while leaving untouched the greatest criminal in history: the state. We must abolish it and with it all those corrupt representatives who live at the expense of others.

It is essential to abolish the state and all its repressive forms, in order to build a new social structure organized according to popular needs from its ruins.
