Paião Oliveira in print — originally published online at bandasdesenhadas.com — with its 8-bit arcade aesthetic steeped in patchouli techno-mysticism.

A wild comic, even though every pixel is obsessively and exhaustingly crafted by the author for hours on end, pushing beyond the machine to create a parable that only future mutants will come to revere. RPO is yet another artist proving that the Portuguese comics scene is alive and kicking, full of ideas and gaining international visibility — most recently being published in the latest issue of Kuti, a renowned comics magazine based in Helsinki.
