Clara Kim, Fiontan Moran- Steve McQueen (EN)

Realized on the occasion of the exhibition of Steve McQueen organized by Tate Modern in 2020 in collaboration with Pirelli HangarBicocca, the volume focuses on the artist’s powerful body of work from the past two decades, bringing together the immersive video and film installations he has made since 2000.

Designed by Irma Boom, this lavishly illustrated book includes fifteen major artworks spanning film, photography, and sculpture. The contributions by Paul Gilroy, Clara Kim, Solveig Nelson, and Clarrie Wallis, as well as an in-depth interview between Hamza Walker and the artist, provide new insights into his works, revealing how McQueen’s pioneering approaches to filmmaking have expanded the ways in which artists work with the medium, creating unforgettable and poignant portraits of time and place
