It's not that Britt-Marie is a critical, demanding, or difficult person—she just expects things to be done a certain way. A messy silverware drawer is at the top of her list of unforgivable sins. Her days invariably begin at six in the morning because only lunatics wake up later than that. And she's not passive-aggressive. Not at all. Britt-Marie finds herself ripped from her comfort zone and dragged into the lives of her fellow citizens of Borg, a strange mix of desperate, scoundrelly, drunk, and vagrant beings, tasked with the impossible job of leading the local football team, made up of several children with absolutely no talent for hitting a ball, to victory. And when Kent shows up one day apologizing, she needs to decide, once and for all, what she really wants from life. In this small town of misfits, can Britt-Marie find the place where she truly belongs?
