The Cramps – Stay Sick!

Stay Sick! is the fourth studio album by the American band The Cramps, released on February 12, 1990 by Enigma Records and recorded in 1989 at Music Grinder Studios in Hollywood with guitarist Poison Ivy as producer.

The record showcases the band’s distinctive blend of rockabilly, psychobilly and garage punk, fusing sharp riffs, irreverent lyrics and a trash-horror aesthetic that has become their trademark. Standout tracks include the UK Top 40 single “Bikini Girls with Machine Guns”, “God Damn Rock ’N’ Roll” and “Journey to the Center of a Girl”, highlighting Lux Interior’s theatrical vocal delivery and Poison Ivy’s gritty guitar work. The album was later reissued on the band’s own Vengeance Records with bonus material and remains a celebrated entry in The Cramps’ catalogue, capturing their raw, energetic and defiantly unconventional approach to rock’n’roll.
