The Clash – If Music Could Talk
25.00€
If Music Could Talk is a promotional record released in 1981 in the United States, created exclusively for radio and never made available for commercial sale at the time.
The album features interviews conducted by Kosmo Vinyl with all four members of The Clash — Paul Simonon, Mick Jones, Joe Strummer, and Topper Headon — interspersed with tracks from their 1980 album Sandinista!. In 2021, it was reissued as a double 180 g vinyl edition for Record Store Day, featuring new artwork, liner notes, and remastered sound. The title refers to the Sandinista! track of the same name, where two vocal takes by Joe Strummer play in separate stereo channels, creating a stream-of-consciousness narrative. This release stands as a unique document offering an intimate glimpse into the band at a time of bold artistic experimentation.
