Released in 1973 by GSF Records, Skull Snaps is the only album by the eponymous band, consisting of Ervan Waters (guitar and vocals), Sam Culley (bass and vocals), and George Bragg (drums and vocals).

Originally known as The Diplomats, the band adopted the name Skull Snaps and released this album, which has become a cult classic in funk and soul. The album is recognized for its deep groove and tracks like “My Hang Up Is You” and “It's a New Day,” which stand out for their energy and unique style. The production was handled by George Kerr, with arrangements by Bert Keyes and the band's members themselves.
