Peste & Sida – Veneno

Veneno is the debut album by Portuguese band Peste & Sida, originally released in 1987.

The record delivers a raw and urgent sound, inspired by the British punk rock of the 1970s, featuring emblematic tracks such as “Veneno”, “Furo na Cabeça” and “Gingão”. Sharp guitars, fast-paced rhythms and unfiltered vocals convey a youthful, defiant energy that captured the spirit of Lisbon’s streets at the time. The album became a landmark in Portuguese music, giving voice to a generation that demanded attitude and authenticity. In 2015, Veneno was reissued on CD, restored from the original tapes and featuring live bonus tracks.
