Written with melody front and centre, every track was filtered through one rule: if it couldn't be hummed, it didn't make the cut. The result is a concise, groove-driven record that trims away unnecessary flourishes while showcasing the band's chemistry. Nearly two decades after first drawing inspiration from The Meters, Booker T. & The M.G.'s and The J.B.'s, Karate Boogaloo have fully settled into a sound that's unmistakably their own. Recorded using the band's trademark analogue approach with engineer Alex Bennett, mixed by Henry Jenkins, and created as a true four-way collaboration, Access All Areas is their most immediate and approachable album yet.
