Eduardo Araújo & Silvinha – Sou Filho Dêsse Chão
23.50€
Originally released in 1976, Sou Filho Dêsse Chão is one of the most distinctive albums in Brazilian music, bringing together Eduardo Araújo and Silvinha in a remarkable blend of traditional regional rhythms and contemporary influences. Inspired by the couple's travels through Salvador, Bahia, the album combines forró, capoeira and candomblé with elements of funk, rock, soul, psychedelia, MPB and the Tropicalia movement, resulting in a truly original recording.
Featuring an outstanding line-up of musicians, including Dominguinhos, Dirceu Medeiros and members of Banda Black Rio and Som Nosso, the album stands out for its rich arrangements and musical diversity. Highlights include O Tempo Que Esse Tempo Tem, Manda Embora a Tristeza, Capoeira and the atmospheric Opanigê, which later gained international recognition after being sampled by Madlib on the track São Paulo.
Now regarded as a cult classic, Sou Filho Dêsse Chão remains an essential recording for collectors and fans of Brazilian music, funk, psychedelia and rare vinyl releases.
