Cabin In The Sky is the tenth studio album by De La Soul and their first release following the passing of founding member Trugoy the Dove.

The record works both as a tribute and as a continuation of the group’s legacy, combining previously recorded material with new work from Posdnuos and Maseo. Musically it stays true to the group’s signature sound, blending classic hip-hop foundations with soulful sampling and production from figures such as DJ Premier, Pete Rock and Supa Dave West. Across its 20 tracks the album features an impressive list of guests, including Nas on “Run It Back!!”, Q-Tip on “Day In The Sun (Gettin’ wit U)”, Killer Mike on “A Quick 16 For Mama” and Black Thought on “EN EFF”, alongside appearances from Common, Slick Rick, Bilal and Yukimi Nagano of Little Dragon. Balancing reflection with warmth and creativity, Cabin In The Sky captures the mature sound of a legendary group while reaffirming De La Soul’s lasting influence on alternative hip-hop.
