Gilles Peterson brings together some of his favourite recordings from the extensive catalogue of the influential Dutch jazz label Timeless Records, covering a wide range of styles from Pharoah Sanders’ cosmic jazz to Carter Jefferson’s vocal jazz and the more danceable sounds of Tom Grant.

The collection also features essential names such as Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers, Eddie Harris, Joanne Brackeen and Jaco Pastorius, with 11 carefully selected tracks. This special Record Store Day 2024 edition also includes the previously unreleased “Gibraltar (Alternate Take)” by the Kirk Lightsey Trio featuring Freddie Hubbard, alongside “World Peace” by the Timeless All Stars. Presented on CD, it offers a concise and carefully curated journey through the diversity, creativity and lasting influence of the Timeless catalogue.
