Sã Bernardo – & Fantasmas

Released in December 2019, &FANTASMAS is an album by Sã Bernardo that unfolds as a ritual of presence and absence, living in the threshold between silence and amplified noise.

The work brings together a constellation of collaborators — contributing electronics, percussion, winds, feedbacks and improvisation — to shape a sound world that drifts through the spectres of urbanity, the underground and the spectral. The live‑recorded sessions give the album a performative dimension, where the sonic environment is dense, often claustrophobic, yet simultaneously open to introspection and a sense of displacement. In this context, the “ghosts” are not only literal figures but metaphors of vulnerability, precarious inhabitation or persistent memory. &FANTASMAS thus becomes a record in which music does not merely fill spaces but reveals them — it is to be heard, read and felt as a map of invisible tensions traversing bodies, machines and cities.
