Pink Martini - Bella Ciao (EP)

The first new music from Pink Martini since their 2020 hit “The Lemonade Song”, Bella Ciao is the exciting new EP from your favorite little orchestra. This release includes four new recordings of core songs from the band’s current live set.

The title track, performed by Storm Large, is a bold reinvention of the Italian folk song that became an anti-fascist anthem in the 1940s — a modern call to resistance and a joyful, uplifting melody for these challenging times. In addition to the title track, the EP features “Pourquoi tu vis”, sung by longtime Pink Martini lead vocalist China Forbes — a catchy French version of the funky 1970s Spanish classic "Porque te vas". Forbes also appears on an epic update of the band’s original song "Aspettami", and Edna Vázquez performs the charming "Destino", a song written for a 1940s collaboration between Walt Disney and Salvador Dalí.
