Peste & Sida – Veneno

Veneno is the debut album by the Portuguese band Peste & Sida, released in 1987.

The record delivers a raw and urgent sound influenced by 1970s British punk rock, featuring standout tracks such as “Veneno”, “Furo na Cabeça” and “Gingão”. Sharp guitars, fast rhythms and unfiltered vocals convey a youthful and rebellious energy, reflecting the spirit of Lisbon’s streets at the time. The album became a milestone in the Portuguese music scene, giving voice to a generation demanding attitude and authenticity, and in 2015 it was reissued on CD, restored from the original tapes and including live tracks as bonus material.
