Olivia Combs - Santa Olivia Parties

Recorded over the past four years in various locations between the outskirts and Lisbon, Santa Olivia Partes is Miguel Moura’s tribute to the times and places he holds dear.

This emotional map is brought to life through field recordings captured in Massamá and its surroundings, which, combined with the suburban landscape, moving homes, health issues and the passage of time, form this minimalist puzzle. Part self‑portrait and part documentary record, the album presents a more abstract facet of Olivia Combs’ music, where the structure of songs gives way to the freedom and uncertainty of improvisation. The artwork, by Filipa Ventura, uses one of the photographs from the “Desabitado” (2017) series, evoking empty spaces and the echoes of what once was.
