V/A - Massa Crítica

In a constant concern about the lack of reference works in Portugal – and despite some titles on comics that we have already published in this collection, such as Maga or The Reading Gaze (by Domingos Isabelinho) – any opportunity is good to at least get testimonials about comics from the artists. For example, when the Australian Michael Fikaris wanted to create an anthology of Portuguese and Australian comics, he was convinced to ask invited artists for work on comics. The anthology Opposights came out in 2021, and the results from the Portuguese artists were surprising! It had to be published in Portugal or in Portuguese! It didn't matter if it was a small book!

Fortunately, it kept growing because we always found someone else who showed interest in participating. Very honestly, it was worth it, and it was worth waiting a little longer until the artist delivered the work.
