The Guimarães Illustration Biennial has established itself as a prestigious event on the cultural calendar of Guimarães.

Since its first edition in 2017, it has steadily grown as a platform for promoting and valuing illustration as a form of visual expression, contributing to its development and recognition. Prudence and effective resource management have been key qualities ensuring the development and growth of this important event, while also reinforcing the social role of artists in the exercise of citizenship.
