In "A Tragic Story with a Happy Ending," we find the illustrations that gave rise to the most awarded Portuguese short film of all time. In addition to the illustrations, this book also includes the DVD with the short film.

In this story, we follow a girl and discover that she is not like other people; she is different. The trait that makes her different not only bothers the community to which she belongs but also translates into profound individual suffering. The community and the girl react to the difference, the former manifesting its intolerance, the latter isolating herself.

Over time, the community ends up becoming insensitively accustomed to the presence of difference, distancing itself from it, but at the same time integrating it into the whirlwind of its daily life.

However, differences exist, persist, and are irreducible. Sometimes they have a reason for being and correspond to temporary states of transition to other states of existence; sometimes they are fatal... Be that as it may, they must be embraced by those who experience them to lead to a better understanding of themselves and a more intense awareness of the world.
