Marcel Proust - Contos Completos e Outros Textos
17.90€
For the first time, in a single volume, all of Marcel Proust's short fiction.
Proust left behind a body of work marked by his extensive work "In Search of Lost Time," but Proust is not only his immense fictional output, including short stories scattered throughout various collections of diverse texts ("Pleasures and Days" or "Pastiches et Mélanges"), stories and tales from his youth, and even the famous lost stories like "The Indifferent One," which were thought to be lost for much of the 20th century.
"The Indifferent One" is indeed one of the best examples of the importance of Proust's short fiction: submitted to a literary magazine that went bankrupt before the story was published, it was considered lost by the author and the world until the end of the 1970s, when it was rediscovered. To the surprise of experts, the approximately 20 pages of the story clearly and condensed contain the major themes and questions later raised in "...Lost Time."
Approximately one-third of the texts in this edition are being translated into Portuguese for the first time.
