George Orwell - Quinta dos Animais
14.40€
One day, when the lazy and drunken Mr. Jones forgets to feed his animals, Manor Farm is turned upside down. Led by the brave pigs Napoleon and Snowball, the animals conquer the property and expel the humans. Dogs and horses, cows and sheep freely inhabit the newly christened Animal Farm. Together they build a project where everyone has the same rights, but they soon realize that the desired utopia is slow to materialize and, in the tangle of legs and paws, the values of the Revolution slowly stumble into oblivion. Are they all truly equal?
Published in 1945, Animal Farm remains the most relevant allegory of modern times, reminding us of errors and mistakes repeatedly made throughout history.
