Franz Kafka - O Processo
16.65€
One fine day, Josef K., a successful bank manager, is suddenly imprisoned in his own room, without knowing why or by whom.
He then finds himself embroiled in a labyrinthine and absurd process that runs secretly in obscure offices located in attics, conducted by minor judges whose mere task is to interrogate him. Conceived in 1914, the novel "The Trial" constitutes for Kafka the ideal form to express the fragmentation of the world and the reality in which modern man lives. This translation is by Álvaro Gonçalves, the first in Portugal to be made from the German version based on Kafka's original manuscript, which eliminates the alterations introduced by the author's friend and executor, Max Brod, in its first edition of 1925.
