Beatriz Brajal - A Cada Sete Ondas

Brajal decided that his work would be appropriate for publication in the fanzine Mesinha de Cabeceira, which makes perfect sense given this publication's three-decade tradition of showcasing new and fresh talent on the national—and international—scene.

The competition jury described the work as imaginative, with refreshing and entertaining content, and excellent technique and expressiveness... and the synopsis doesn't deny it: In this cathartic and imaginary autofictional comic, Bea and Solha have a complicated interspecies friendship. Both mirror images of each other, dependent and erratic, they encounter a real-life circumstance.
