The Lemon Twigs - Look For Your Mind! (coloured)

The Lemon Twigs continue the run that began with Everything Harmony and A Dream Is All We Know on Look For Your Mind!, their third album for Captured Tracks. Beneath its bright, harmony-rich guitar pop sits an undercurrent of tension and suspicion, adding new depth to their classic songwriting style.

The title track sets the tone with jangling guitars and layered vocals, while the band expand their studio lineup for the first time, joined by drummer Reza Matin, bassist Danny Ayala and Eva Chambers of Tchotchke, bringing a looser, more collaborative feel.

From the ornate sweep of ‘Gather Round’ to the tender ballad ‘Mean To Me’ and the experimental closer ‘Your True Enemy’, the album refines the band’s melodic instincts while stretching their sound in new directions.
